At Scally Wags Dog Grooming we treat all dogs as individuals and work on a 1to1 basis, so consistency is maintained and the dogs welfare and needs are always put first.

All grooming services include a free consultation where we will discuss your requirements and help find you the best package to meet your dog’s needs – we require that you complete a client card accurately to ensure we can treat your dog according to their unique needs.

Please be aware that all clients will be required to read, accept and sign our terms and conditions and matted dogs form before your first groom.

Full Groom (Hand Stripping)

Hand -stripping is grooming technique that involves pulling (or plucking) the dead outer coat of wire or rough-coated breeds by hand or with a specialized tool instead of cutting the hair with scissors or clippers. This encourages new, crisp coat to grow in. The process maintains proper coat texture and colour in the breeds where it is employed. This is a better option than clipping (which can damage the coat), although takes considerably longer and costs more (Due to the time that is required). Not all coats can be hand stripped.

Puppy Graduation Package/Puppy Trim

It is very important that your puppy has the chance to get familiarised with the grooming process gradually from a young age, so that they don’t get stressed later in life, especially for breeds that need regular grooming.

Puppy graduation packages include 3 sessions from around 12 weeks old(after all vaccinations have been completed)

1st session-Puppy familiarised to grooming van environment, table dryer

2nd session-Soothing calm wash, dry trim as necessary

3rd session- Puppy graduation First full groom (around 6 months)

Every puppy is different so the puppy packages are adapted to suit the puppies needs and owners requirements.
